At a ceremony held in Adelaide on December the 3rd, Helen Flavel was awarded the Ambassador’s Humanitarian Care Award by His Excellency, Bapak Primo Joelianto, the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia.
This prestigious and important recognition was given
“in Recognition of her valuable contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Australia.”The importance and significance of this prestigious award and recognition cannot be overemphasised, especially when understanding that the HFF operates only in the Province of Bali. This award and recognition was presented to Helen on behalf of all the people of Indonesia, as represented by His Excellency, Ambassador Joelianto.

The ceremony was attended by a number of other dignitaries, including, Bapak Sudaryomo Hartosudarmo, the Consul-General of Indonesia, from Sydney, Bapak Raudin Anwar, Ministerial Counsellor from the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Mr Deane Edgecombe, Honorary Consul of Indonesia in South Australia and the Honorable Michael Atkinson, Attorney General and Minister for Multicultural Affairs.
