We have found that there are many families living in the most appalling conditions in Northern Bali. If they are renting their house then there is little we can do to help them apart from buying bedding. If they have had their land passed down to them and own the land, we do our best to build them a modest house. These houses, although very basic give the family a far better quality of life.
Every home has a bathroom/toilet and a tiny kitchen. In most cases this is the first time these families have had these amenities in their entire life. Once the house is finished we buy bedding and basic furniture for the house. |
